Our Story

Circus Covered was started and is run by Yuliya and Vasyl, an aerial duo. Like many circus artists, we found ourselves constantly on the move with gear that didn’t fit into standard luggage — hoops, trapezes, ropes — the essentials of our work and our passion.

It all started when Yuliya needed to protect her aerial hoop while flying to and from shows. Vasyl, completely in love, set out to build her a bag that would keep her gear safe and comfortable to carry. He had never sewn before — but he was determined to figure it out. So he did.

He learned to sew, to design, to test — and from that first bag, Circus Covered was born.

We quickly realized this wasn’t just a personal fix — it was something other artists needed too. From that first hoop bag, we grew our collection to include designs for pole, duo trapeze, teardrop trapeze, silks, straps, and other bags tailored specifically for circus life.

We knew our bags had to be waterproof, padded, and sized to avoid oversize baggage fees — and along the way, we taught ourselves how to build ergonomic straps, sturdy pockets, and even how to add wheels for easier travel.

We’re always learning and refining our techniques to make bags that are comfortable, convenient, and offer the best protection for the equipment that protects you.
